- Mary L. Kness Jennings, 44, of Avon died Wednesday at 4:20 a.m. in Saunders Hospital, Avon.

She was born in Galesburg June 26, 1939. She married Bill G. Jennings in Galesburg Jan 27, 1957.

Surviving are her husband; four sons, Jeff of Mossville, Monty of Tylertown, Miss., Kerry of Quincy and Scott of Avon; one daughter, Cindy Watters of Avon; her mother and step-father, Iris Ralston Kness Perkins and Cliff Perkins of Longwood, Fla., three brothers, Donald Kness of Galesburg, Pat Kness of New Windsor and Gary Kness of Alpha; and seven grandchildren.

She had lived in Henry and Knox counties, and graduated from Galesburg High School. Since 1957, she had lived in Avon, where she owned and operated a beauty salon for five years. She had also been employed by Admiral Division of Magic Chef for 10 years.

Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Corman Memorial home, Avon. Rev. Wesley Kersh officiating. Burial will be in Avon Cemetery. Friends may call at the memorial home Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, the family said.
