Gary Scott "Scotty" Jennings, 28, 20 Main St, died at 1:25 a.m. Friday (July 28, 1995) in a fire at his home.

He was born June 16, 1967, in Galesburg, the son of Bill and Mary Lou Kness Jennings.

Surviving are his father, of Avon; three brothers, Jeff Jennings, Brimfield, Monty Jennings, Colchester, and Kerry Jennings, Avon; one sister, Cindy Owens, St Augustine; one step-brother, Greg Godsil, Rock Falls; one stepsister, Barbara Robinson, Oceanside, Calif; his grandparents, Cliff and Iris Perkins, Alpha; his paternal great-grandmother, Mary J. Harris, Altona; eight nephews, six nieces, and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his mother, his paternal grandparents and one nephew.

He was reared and educated in the Avon area.

He was a mechanic for Heil Trucking, Prairie City.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Corman Memorial Home, Avon, with the Rev. Rick Kerr officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday and Monday until the service. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Abingdon and St. Augustine Volunteer Fire departments.
