Ray Eads 35, farmer of near Bement died in St. Marys hospital, Decatur at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday evening following an operation for stomach trouble. He had been brought to the hospital in the afternoon.

He was born in Tennessee Sept. 9, 1896. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Eads who live on a farm near Oakley.

Since his marriage several years ago he had resided on a farm one and one-half miles west of Bement.

He leaves his parents, his widow, a son Robert and the following brothers and sisters, Dewey and John Eads of Decatur, Mrs. Alfred McVitty of Oakley, Mrs. Ira Bowers of Mt. Zion, Mrs. Glen Clarkson of Cerro Gordo and Mrs. J. K. Hite of Casner.
