A. G. Redwine, 67, died Thursday, May 19 in Root Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at KikerSeale ChapeL Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery. Born September 5, 1915 in Comanche County, he married Mary Sankovich on June 12, 1943 in Conway, South Carolina. A veteran of World War II, he had lived in Colorado City for 23 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a retired Cosden Oil and Chemical Company employee.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Roger Proctor of Colorado City; four sons, Jimmy Redwine, Terry Redwine and Gary Redwine, all of Colorado City, and Mickey Redwine of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Cleo Shurtleff of Brady and Letha Compton of Colorado City; one brother, Leverette Redwine of Long Beach, California; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
