Robert Lee Hagaman, 76, of Boone, died Monday night, October 25, at Watauga Medical Center.

He was born May 28, 1917, in the Zion Hill community, to Hardie Alexander and Lula Ella Harmon Hagaman. He was a retired school bus mechanic from the Watauga County school system and a farmer. He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Lee Shepard Hagaman, one son, three daughters, three sisters, two brothers, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Roberta Tester; five brothers, Mr. Gradon Hagaman, Reverend Lawrence Hagaman, Mr. John Hagaman and two infant brothers; and one sister, Miss Flora Hagaman.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. Officiating will be Reverends James Hagaman, Ray Greene and Melvin Hodges. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
