Son of William Stucker and Isabella Herron, accd'g to his marriage license to Edna P. Eby. Unfortunately, Roy's mother died when Roy was an infant. He was then raised by Charles and Ida Handley, but Roy always kept the Stucker surname.

1m: Edna Pauline Eby on Dec. 16, 1915, in Warsaw, IN. They were the parents of several children but eventually divorced.

2m: Eva (nee Barnes) Wirsing on June 28, 1947, in Indiana. He was 51; she was 34.

Roy's foster parents were Charles E. Handley and Ida A. Rosa.
