Dorene C. Smith, 77, North Manchester, IN died at 8:01 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, IN. She was born November 21, 1936 in North Manchester, IN to Roy & Pauline (Eby) Stucker. She graduated from Central High School, North Manchester, IN. On December 22, 1976 she married Brian R. Smith. He survives. In 1999 Dorene retired from Invensys Controls, North Manchester, IN after 20 years of service. She was also employed with Timbercrest Senior Living Community, North Manchester, IN from 2000-2011. She attended Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester, IN. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed attending fall festivals, crocheting, cooking, gardening, spending time with her family and her dogs, Bo-Jo & Sissy. In addition to her husband, Brian, she is survived by two sons, Marvin (Chris Stuart) Gheen, North Manchester, IN & Mike (Vanessa Johnson) Gheen, North Manchester, IN; one daughter, Peggy (Ralph) Bradley, North Manchester, IN; one step son, Derek Smith, Lake Charles, LA; one step daughter, Darcey (Dean) Yoder, Goshen, IN; three sisters, Nadean (Tim) Sherer, South Whitley, IN, Charlene Walters, North Manchester, IN and Lova (Art Griffiths) Ward, North Manchester, IN; six grandchildren, Christy (Chad) McKinney, Michael Bradley, Matthew Bradley, Brandt Gheen, Katelyn Stuart and Cody Stuart; four step grandchildren, Shelby Yoder, Addison Smith, Ashlynn Yoder and Nikayla Smith; and five great great grandchildren. One brother and four sisters are deceased. Graveside services will be Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery, 600 N. Beckley Street, North Manchester, IN. Pastor J. P.
