According to the book "Jones County, Mississippi, Echos From Our Past." Pages 544-546, J. M. Reed and Sudie only has one child, but from the account of his capture for murdering her brother, they had five children. Found two social security records, John Alfred Reed and Jim Madison Reed, naming both as parents and obituary of their daughter, Mary Rachel also list two brother's surviving.
