Indianapolis News - Tuesday, May 12, 1953:

Services for Hamilton Bailie Drummond, 61, long-time paper company employee who died yesterday in his home on East 487th Street, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kirby Mortuary with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. For thirty years, Mr. Drummond had been a member of the sales staff of the C. P. Lesh Paper Co.

Life resident here, he was the grandson of Hamilton Bailie who owned extensive coal yards on the site now occupied by Diamond Chain Co. He attended Shortridge High School where he was a member of the basketball team.

For several years, Mr. Drummond was resident manager of a 75,000-acre banana plantation in Panama with headquarters at Bocas del Torro. When World War I began, he returned to this country and enlisted in the Army, serving two years in France. After the armistice, he joined the Lesh Company. Mr. Drummond was a member of the American Legion, Ancient Landmarks Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Shrine.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Catherine Drummond; two sons, William Gerald Drummond and James H. Drummond; and a sister, Miss Isabel N. Drummond.
