James H. Drummond, 91, Indianapolis, passed away July 29, 2021. Born July 10, 1930 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Hamilton B. and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Drummond. He is survived by his loving wife Diane M. (Harmeson) after 61years of marriage, sons Hugh, David, and Thomas. His daughter Susan's death preceded Jim's. He also had 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1948 and Butler University in 1952. Jim served his country in the U.S. Army, serving 18 months in Europe, during the Korean War. Jim's father passed away during the period of time that Jim was serving in the military in Europe. As a result of his military service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Occupation Medal. Jim retired from the Defense Contract Audit Agency after 25 years of employment. He enjoyed traveling in the areas of the Great Lakes, particularly the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and in the Canadian areas north of Lake Superior. Several family vacations were spent in these areas along with many shorter trips during different times of the years and different weather conditions.
