Obituary
After a sickness of several weeks, during which time he received the constant ministration of his mother and sister, as well as skillful aid of physicians, Albert Anderson, passed away on the evening of the 15th, at his mother's home in this city. He was in the prime of life, 41 years and 4 months old. The funeral services took place at the Congregational church on the afternoon of the 27th. A concourse of people came together and the singing was especially beautiful and impressive. Many followed the remains to the Maccabee Cemetery where the last rites were performed by Rev Edwards. The deceased was born at Galesburg, Illinois, where he spent most of his days and years until he came to this city in '84. He attended school in his native city and for a time here, until he began to work for Mr. Stanton and others in the butcher business which he followed until recently. He leaves a mother, who came from Sweden to this country in '94; two brothers and three sisters to mourn his loss. One of the sisters, Mrs. Salt, lives with the mother, Mrs. Sandygren near Harrington, and Mrs. Warwick of Ritzville, and the brothers Axel and Bert on the ranch, 10 miles west of Sprague. Albert was well and favorably known, generous and kind-hearted, as true as steel to his word, even to his injury. The aged mother has especially the sympathy of many friends.
