BARDSTOWN - HAGAN, VIOLA GREENWELL SEWARD, 73, a resident of Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was a member of St. Joseph Proto Cathedral Catholic Church in Bardstown, former member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in New Haven, and a retired seamstress for the Bardstown Sewing Factory for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Patrick M. "Pat" Seward, and second husband, John Hagan; one son, Eddie Lyvers; a granddaughter, Carrie Seward; three brothers, Earl, Frank and Lee Greenwell; and a sister, Lally Cahoe. She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Marlene Sanders of Kings, NC, Sylvia Gail Osbourne of Cox's Creek, and Pamela Ann Ruckriegel of Louisville;(Note, per D. Bohn: Her 3 sons, Patrick Michael Seward, David Gerald Seward, and Robert Dean Seward were not mentioned.); two brothers, Arthur Greenwell and J. E. Greenwell, both of Lebanon, KY; one sister, Ruth Adams of Bardstown, KY; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 20, 2005, from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday, October 21, 2005, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at Mann & Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2005, at St. Joseph Proto Cathedral Catholic Church in Bardstown, with Rev. Joe Batcheldor officiating. Burial will be in St. Catherine Catholic Church Cemetery in New Haven, KY. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2005, with Deacon John Hamilton officiating. William R. Rust Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Hospice of Nelson County, or Mass of the Air.

MARY VIOLA GREENWELL SEWARD HAGAN, The Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Viola Greenwell Seward Hagan, 74, Bardstown, formerly of New Haven, was Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral. The Rev. Joe Batcheldor officiated. Burial was in St. Catherine Catholic Church Cemetery in New Haven with the Rev. Jeffrey Leger, pastor of St. Catherine Catholic Church, officiating. Pallbearers were sons and grandsons: Mike Seward, Gerald Seward, Bobby Seward, David Cash, Cory Osbourne and Darren Osbourne. Honorary pallbearers were her grandchildren. William R. Rust Funeral Home in New Haven was in charge of arrangements.
