Death of Miss Rilla Hill
Miss Rilla Hill, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hill living four miles south of the city, died this morning at 6 o'clock of erysipelas, of which she was taken down a week ago yesterday. The deceased was an accomplished young lady with scores of friends in Carthage who will be shocked to learn of her death. She graduated from the musical department of the Carthage College in the class of '89, and was particularly gifted musically. The grief stricken family have the warmest sympathy of a wide circle of friends.
The funeral occurs Thursday afternoon from the residence at one o'clock, and the remains will be laid to rest in Park Cemetery.
