She entered this world on September 28, 1922 in Smith Township, Whitley County, born to Jesse and Lillie (Prough) Zeigler.
Betty spent her formative years in Churubusco and graduated from Churubusco High in 1940.
She was married on June 16, 1940 to Lyman L. Crabill. He preceded her in death on December 4, 1999.
She was a member of Collins United Methodist Church. She loved working in her large garden, crocheting, and sending cards and letters.
She is survived by her five daughters, Patsy (Edward) Rollins, Nancy (Richard) Hess, Vonda (David) McEowen, Arlene (Robert) King and Norma (Steve) Solloway; two sons, Larry (Sandy) Crabill and Roger (Geri) Crabill; a brother, Allen (Jeanie) Zeigler; a sister, Joy Follis; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by three children; Carita Ann, Stephen, Richard; two grandchildren, Troy Gruesbeck, Lonnie King; eight brothers, Clarence, Jay, Marshall, Ben, John, Ralph, Lee, Donald; four sisters, Mae Wappes, Geraldine Growcock, Martha Wappes and Barbara Nicodemus.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Sheets & Childs funeral Home from 3:00PM until 8:00 PM. Calling also one hour prior to the service.
Services will begin at 11:00 AM, at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.
