Kim was raised in Salt Lake, she went to school at West High School. She lived in California and on the Wasatch front before returning to Vernal. A source of joy for her was her daughter Debbie. She was so proud of the life Debbie built with her husband Chuck McDowell and her two beautiful grandchildren Cassie and Ranch, and her great grandson Dayton.
Kim worked for 20 years as a custodian at Uintah High School where she earned a reputation for her hard work, integrity and honesty. Kim and Robbie built many friendships during their years at Uintah. Kim loved camping, she spent many summer week-ends camped on the mountain. She loved to hunt and fish, but her best time was exploring on her four wheeler.
Kim was a collector, she loved knives, hats and wolves. Kim always had a lap full of adoring little dogs. Marty will be remembered as honest, hard working and willing to give a friend the shirt off her back. Marty was a very thoughtful person who helped out her friends and family without ever expecting anything in return. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she spent days buying and wrapping presents for those she cared about.
Marty is survived by her companion of forty two years Carol "Robbie" Roberts; her daughter, Debbie, husband Chuck; children Cassie, Ranch; and grandson Dayton. She has two surviving sisters, Nile Richens and Stella Wooley and a host of nieces and nephews. Marty was buried in Salt Lake on Dec. 4 in a family graveside service.
