Born Nov. 26, 1889, Bern, Idaho to David and Louisa Jacobs Kunz. Married Leah Jacobson Jan. 6, 1916, Manti LDS Temple. She died Sept. 5, 1962. Married Rachael Burgess Nelson Aug. 3, 1968, St. George LDS Temple. Graduate, Montpelier High School; attended Utah State University, Logan; moved to Cedar City in 1922, St. George in 1964; contractor, wood pulp business, livestockman.
Survivors: wife; son, daughters, Merrill "Bud", Mrs. Fenton (Bee) Christiansen, Mrs. Richard (LaRue) Morris, Mrs. York (Evelyn) Jones, all Cedar City; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, sister, Reed, Mrs. Rebecca Buhler, both Bern; F.F., Salt Lake City; Ezra, Sandy; Mrs. Iris Buhler, Midvale; Mrs. Walter (Kate) Buhler, St. George.
