Reverend Norman Curtis Bellamy of Supply, NC passed away peacefully on November 6, 2008 at Brunswick Community Hospital. He was born in Brunswick County on February 25, 1918, son of the late Raymond E Bellamy and Rosie Fulford Bellamy. He was preceded in death by his first wife, lona Hewett Bellamy, brother, Palmer Bellamy, and sisters Evelene Reaves and Clara Holden and a grandson Malcolm E. Danford.

Reverend Bellamy was a self-employed craftsman. He was a carpenter, bricklayer, farmer, boat builder, and fisherman. He owned and operated a fish and shrimp house as well as owning R.E. Bellamy and Sons Hardware Store in Shallotte with his father and brother. He served in WWII. He was a member of the Board of Education. He taught many classes for Brunswick Community College's technical program. He served the Lord for many years as Pastor for Boones Neck Baptist Church and Trinity Baptist Church. He was an ordained Deacon and Minister. He also served as Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School teacher for Sabbath Home Baptist Church.

Norman is survived by his wife Almeta Bellamy, daughters JoAnn, wife of the late Jessie Simmons, Julia wife of the late LeRoy Hayes, Pinta and Roy Todd, Bonnett Fortiscue and friend Ronald Simpson, Quintina wife of the late Wycuff Skipper, and son Jimmy Register, 21 grandchildren, 30 great -grand children, and 6 great-great grandchildren. His surviving brother, R.E. Bellamy Jr., and sisters Leona and the late Rooney Cheers, Ophelia and Billy Gaither and Margret and H.D. Parrish, and sister-in-law Earlene "Pet" Bellamy. Along with aunts, Lydia Hewett, Bessie Robinson, and Della Piggott, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Sunday at Sabbath Home Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 10, 2008 at Sabbath Home Baptist Church with Reverend Mark Perko and Reverend Rory Thigpen officiating. Paul Bearers will be all Norman's grandsons. Honorary Paul Bearers will be the Class A Senior Sunday school class and Chairman of Deacons from Sabbath Home Baptist Church.
