Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Farland, 75, of 105 Short Street., New Boston, Texas, died Sunday morning, June 9, 1974, in a Texarkana Rest Home, after a long illness.
She was born October 18, 1898, near Downing, the daughter of John and Birdie Vandruff Blessing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul L. Farland; one brother, George; and a son, Paul Jr. Farland, who died in a prison camp in World War II.
Survivors include four sons, John L. of Cale Misa, California, Russell, Roy and Hollis of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Hubert L. D. (Ila) Coleman of New Boston, Texas, and Mrs. Russell (Louise) Morgan of Downing; two brothers, Roy of Downing, and Guy of Knoxville, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
