Mrs. Ada Exline, 85, longtime resident of Exline and widow of James Exline, died at Collins Memorial Hospital in Knoxville Thursday at 4 p.m.

The daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Black Traxler, she was born in Appannose County April 28, 1883. She was married at Exline Sept. 10, 1899. Her husband died June 12, 1957.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Word Stickler of Newton and Mrs. Kenneth Carter of Knoxville; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Centerville. The Rev. D. G. Fox was in charge. Burial was in Exline Cemetery.
