Elizabeth Cenith Black was born at Trenton, Iowa, February 27, 1849, and died at the home of her son B.W.Traxler, southeast of Exline, Oct. 29, 1916, age 67 years 8 months and 2 days. She was married to Joseph Traxler, Oct. 29, 1865. To this union was born 12 children, six sons and 6 daughters. All the children are living except one daughter, Ida Bell, who died in Sept. 1866 and one son Pearl, who died in June of this year. Some years ago she moved with her husband and family to Kansas but after the death of her husband which occured March 13, 1913 she came back to Iowa and made her home here until her death which occured after a lingering illness.

She was loved and respected by all who knew her. The community feels keenly its loss for her Godly life was a continual influence for good, how far that influence went cannot be told but rather can it be who knew her best. Mrs. Traxler gave her heart to God in her early life and was a member of the United Brethern Church at the time of her death.

Besides a host of friends and relatives she leaves behind to mourn her loss her children; Oswa of Oberlin, Kans., G.W. of Exline, Mrs, Mary Jane Moss of Cedar Bluffs, Kans., Mrs, Rosetta Roe of Great Falls, Mont., Mrs. Susan Clinkenbeard of Chariton, Mo., C.J. of Chariton, Mo., Alvin of Cherryvale, Kans., Mrs. Luada Exline of Exline, Mrs. Josie Foster of Cascade, Idaho, and Lawence of Dean, Iowa.

Through the mercies of God she has gone to that home for which we longed and found that sweet rest with him.

Funeral servies were held in the Christian Church at Exline, 2:30 o'clock Nov. 2, conducted by Rev, C.L. Ellis of Exline the remains were burried in the Exline Cemetery.
