Obituary:
James Walker Waters, of Burnt Cabins, died Monday, December 28, 1964 at 1:05 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home at Liverpool, Pa. He was born June 21, 1874 at Burnt Cabins, a son of James L. and Margaret (Cisney) Waters. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Ella C. Price of Shade Gap and she preceded him in death in May of 1938. Later he married Lucy Jane Campbell of Burnt Cabins and she preceded him in death on October 2, 1964. Suriving is a son to the first union, W.D. Waters of 401 Spring Street, Lewistown. There are four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Mr. Waters was of the Protestant faith and had followed the occupations of carpentry and farming during his lifetime. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Ott funeral home in Orbisonia. The Rev. Raymond A. Piper, pastor of the Pleasant Hill EUB Church, will officiate. Interment will be made in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Shade Gap, R.D. There will be no viewing.
