Obituary:
Thomas M. Waters, of Shade Gap, died Friday afternoon February 28, 1941, about 2:10 o'clock following a two weeks illness. He was born on April 12, 1861 in Huntingdon county, a son of James and Mararet (Cisney) Waters. At the time of death he was aged 79 years, ten months and sixteen days. He was unmarried. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Charles Waters, of Lewistown; Isaac Waters of Monte Vista, California; Mrs. Catherine Appleby, of Burnt Cabins; Mrs. Rosetta Stahl, of Lewistown; James Waters, of Shade Gap; Mrs. Lucinda Hambright, of Burnham, and Porter Waters, of Burnt Cabins. Mr. Waters had been engaged in clerical work. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, at 2 p.m. at the home of his brother, James Waters, in Shade Gap. Burial will be made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery, directed by Behel's funeral service.
