PANHANDLE - Funeral services for James Wesley Phenix, 70, of Panhandle, who died at 9:05 a.m. Friday in Highland General Hospital in Pampa, will be at 5 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Panhandle.
The Rev. Don Holmes, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Panhandle Cemetery by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Phenix was born in Missouri and had lived in Panhandle since 1948.
He married Miss Martha Baily on Aug. 7, 1922, in PowWow, Okla.
He was a retired automobile body repairman and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tracy of Panhandle; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Gentle of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. Jean Robinson of Denver; four brothers, Frank and Fred of Leedy, Okla., Henry of Sayre, Okla., and Jack of California; two sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Brass of Beeville and Mrs. Nellie Bray of 4313 S. Van Buren in Amarillo and six grandchildren.
