Evening Times, Cumberland, Maryland, August 10, 1955: "Mrs. Alice M. Coleman, 51, wife of Frank Coleman, Dawson, was pronounced dead on arrival yesterday at Memorial Hospital. Dr. H. V. Doming, deputy county medical examiner, said death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Born at Lonaconing, she was a daughter of John E. Ross, Shaft, and the late Laura (Shimer) Ross. Surviving, besides her husband and father, are two sons, Richard Coleman, McCoole; James Coleman, Baltimore; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Cook, Mrs. Morris Cook, and Miss Laura Coleman, all at home; four brothers, Louis and Fred Ross, both of Shaft; Vincent Ross, Loartown; and Walter Ross, Loartown; one sister, Mrs. James Blubaugh, Eckhart; and six grandchildren. Boal Funeral Home, Westernport; services Friday; Dawson cemetery."

DAWSON,MARYLAND -- Funeral services for Mrs. Alice M. Coleman, 51, of Dawson, former resident of Westernport, will be held tomorrow afternoon, Friday , in the Assembly of God Church, Keyser, Interment will be in the Dawson cemetery,

Mrs. Coleman died Tuesday afternoon of a cerebral hemorrhage, according to Dr. H. V. Deming, deputy county medical examiner, She was pronounced dead upon arrival at Memorial hospital, Cumberland.

a native of Lonaconing, Mrs. Coleman was born October 10,1903. She was a daughter of John E. Ross, of Shaft and the late Mrs. Lura (Shimer) Ross.
In addition to her husband, Frank Coleman, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Cook, Mrs. Morris Cook and Miss Laura Coleman, all at home; two sons, Richard Coleman, McColle, and James Coleman, Baltimore: four brothers. Lewis and Fred Ross, Shaft; Vincent Ross, Loartown, and Walter Ross, Detroit, and one sister, Mrs. James Blubaugh, Eckhart.

The body will remain at the Boal Funeral home, Westernport, until funeral services are conducted tomorrow afternoon.
