John E Ross
Frostburg - John E Ross, 78, Shaft, died yesterday at the Allegany County
Infirmary Cumberland after a long illness. He was a son of Lacy W Ross, Midland
and the late Mandana Ross. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church,
Midlothian. Besides his father, he is survived by his widow, Mrs Laura (Shimer)
Ross, a daughter; Mrs James Blubaugh, Eckhart; four sons: William W Ross,
Pontiac, Mich; Henry Ross, Loartown; John Ross, Jr and Lewis Ross, both of
Shaft; four sisters: Mrs Etta Shimer, Frostburg; Mrs Loar Shimer, Eckhart; Mrs
Lonnie Miller, Westernport and Mrs Cletus Miller, Westernport; a brother, Simeon
Ross Midland; 33 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. The body will be at
the Assembly of God Church, Midlothian after 7 p.m. today. Services will be
conducted there on Friday at 2 p.m. by Rev Norman E Haupt, pastor. Interment
will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
