Age 76, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Arbor Hospice Residence in Ann Arbor. He was born in London Township on May 5, 1933 to Steve and Julia (Kovacs) Borso and lived on that farm his entire life.
On October 7, 1961 he married Evonne Miller in Milan and she survives. Al was a 1951 graduate of Milan High School, was employed with Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti Plant for 41 years retiring in Jan. of 1997, farmed all of his life and attended the Milan Baptist Church.
Besides his wife of 48 years, he is survived by a son Karl (Jennifer) Borso a daughter Kathryn (William) Orwig, five grandchildren; Karla and Tyler Borso, Evonne and Meghan Herman and Margaret Orwig all of London Township. Survivors also include two sisters; Margaret (Frank) Ziegler of Florida, Helen (Douglas) Edwards of Milan and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Paul, John, Louis, Steve Jr., young brothers Albert and Steve, and his sister Julia Knueve.
Visitation will be held at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan on Sunday from 5-8pm and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Tuesday at the Milan Baptist Church where he will lie in state one hour before service. Pastor Doug Strader will officiate. Burial will follow in Marble Park Cemetery, Milan. Those desiring may make contributions to the Milan Baptist Church or Arbor Hospice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
