Samuel Sprinkle was this son of Henry Sprenkle & Mary.

Sam accompanied his widowed mother and siblings from Shenandoah Co., VA to Highland Co., OH between 1816-1820. Sam then moved on to Concord Twp., Fayette Co., where he married Mary Larkins on 29 Nov 1832.

Sam & Mary had at least 13 children: Henry, James, Samuel, Elizabeth (Lindsey), Benjamin, Joshua, Mary, John W.L., David Allen, Susan, William F., Jesse, & Rosetta (Cork).

Sam was a prosperous farmer. The 1850 census shows real estate valued at $10,000. Ten years later, that figure had increased to $27,000 with $3,745 of personal property. His widow's enumeration on the 1870 census shows real estate valued at $36,600 and personal property worth $22,000.

Fayette Co. death records indicate that Samuel died in Concord Twp. from "measles that settled on the lungs."
