For some reason the Democrat was not until now appraised of the death of its good friend, Mr. W. D. Cook , which occurred at his home in the Bamboo section a little more than two weeks ago. Funeral services were conducted from the Mount Vernon Church and interment was in the neighboring cemetery. Surviving are a long line of relatives and a host of friends throughout this section. Mr. Cook was a member of one of the oldest and most substantial families of the county, a genuine good citizen and will be sorely missed in his community, where he spent a long and useful life.
