At Wales, Sanpete County, U. T., March 24th, 1882, of consumption, THOMAS REESE age 66 years and 19 days.
Deceased was born at Merther Tydvil, Glamorganshire, South Wales, March 5th 1816. Was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Elder Wm. Hershaw, in February, 1844. He was president of the Merther Tydvil branch for several years. Emigrated to Utah in 1856, in Captain Bunker's hand cart company, went through many privations. Presided over the High Priests' of Wales Ward for two years, and the Teachers thirteen years. He leaves a wife and eight children, fifty-nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. He lived and died a faithful Latter-day Saint, in the full hope of a glorious resurrection.
