Mary Ellen Larson, age 90, died March 2, 1978 at Spokane, Wash. Born Nov. 22, 1887 at Wolverton, Minnesota to John and Lotta Watterberg. Married Edwin B. Larson in 1914 and homesteaded in Sanish, North Dakota. In 1949, they moved out west, buying a small farm in Brush Prairie, Washington. They lived at 16303 Caples Road, Brush Prairie for 29 years. She was a homemaker.

Survived by Edwin B. Larson, at home, Brush Prairie, Wash. Sons Mederith J. Larson of Brush Prairie, Wash., David B. Larson of Seattle, Wash. and Shirley E. Larson of Salkum, Wash; daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Nell) Powell of Spokane, Wash; sister, Louise Sullivan of Minot, ND; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a daughter, Ella M. Larson in 1955; four brothers, Axell, Fritz, Charles and Conrad Watterberg; three sisters, Ada Knudson, Anna Anderson and Sarah Watterberg.

Honorary casket bearers will be Mrs. Larson's grandsons: Gaylen Larson, Roland Larson, Douglas Larson, Dale Larson, Steve Larson, Paul Larson, David Powell, Mark Powell and Timothy Powell.

Member of the Battle Ground Baptist Church. Friends are invited to attend funeral memorial services to be held Tuesday, March 7, 1978 at 11:00 a.m. Battle Ground Baptist Church, S. Parkway and D Streets, Battle Ground, Wash. Rev. Robert Firebaugh of the Battle Ground Baptist Church will officiate. Mrs. Larson will be in state in the Holly Room, Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel, 1101 NE 112th Ave., Vancouver, until service time. Private vault interment Garden of Flowers, Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family requests that friends wishing may make memorials in memory of Mrs. Larson to the Battle Ground Baptist Church. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.
