Survivors include his wife, Sara Guedry Burnett; daughter, Meia Beaty; son, Thad Douglas Burnett and Sherman T. Burnett; sisters, Mozell Woods, Willie Burnett, Ann Rachford and Patsy Patrick; brothers, H.L. "Cowboy" Burnett and Joe Burnett; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
