Mozelle Elizabeth Burnett Woods, age 90 of Newton, Texas went home to be with the Lord on February 12, 2014 at Rayburn Health Care in Jasper, Texas.
She was born on March 8, 1923 in Roganville, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Jasper and Newton Counties.
She is survived by her children, O'Brien Woods and wife, Leta of Newton, Jeannette Dougharty and husband, Gailon of Newton, Jeannine Denman and husband, Danny of Mauriceville, Texas and Kathleen Kincade and husband, Dean of Statesboro, Georgia, her sister, Patsy Patrick and brother, Joe Burnett, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Woods, parents, Lena and Herbert Burnett, brothers, Sherman and H. L. (Cowboy) Burnett and sisters, Arbell, Willie, Wilma and Annie Faye.
Visitation will be on Sunday February 16, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm at Smith Funeral Home in Newton.
Funeral services will be on Monday February 17, 2014 at 11am at Grace Bible Church in Newton.
Burial to follow at Friendship Cemetery in Roganville.
