Born Aug. 9, 1941 in Friendship community to Lena Louvenia (Sheffield) and Herbert Theadeous Burnett, he had lived most of his life in Friendship.
Joe was a retired tool pusher in the oil field industry. He was a member of the Circuit Rider Motorcycle Ministry and recently did mission work in the Rio Grande area.
Survivors include his children, Ronnie Burnett, Karen Burnett Fletcher and Mechelle Burnett Jordan & Charles; a sister, Patsy Patrick; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
