Carlie Barton "C.B." Israel, Jr, 67, of Walker, LA and formerly of Gautier passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 in Walker, LA. He was born August 3, 1942 in Tiller, Arkansas. Mr. Israel was a very talented carpenter and enjoyed making cabinets, woodworking, and was an all around Handy Man. He was a former employee of Tilley Construction in Gulfport. Mr. Israel enjoyed fishing, playing the guitar and singing, and being with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlie Israel, Sr and Ruby Lucille Israel; sister, Betty Joe Fountain. He is survived by his five daughters and one son, Mary Elizabeth McColley, Kiln, MS; Stephanie Ann Hall, Waveland, MS; Victoria Diane Wernau, Katy, TX; Rebecca Louise Israel, D'Iberville, MS; Aimee Carlette Oliver, Kiln, MS and Carlie Barton Israel, III, Waveland. Eight grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 5 sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at O‘Bryant-O‘Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula.
