Mrs. Julia A. Babb, aged 76 years, died at her home in Joplin Monday after a long illness. The funeral was held at the Methodist Episcopal church this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock with burial in Galena cemetery. Mrs. Babb had been a resident of the mining district a number of years. She is survived by three sons, B. G. Babb, of this city, G. W. Babb, of Payett, Idaho, D. S. Babb, of Cheney, Wash., and two daughters, Mesdames M. A. Gatton and John Abner (sic) [Abney], of Joplin.

Funeral services over the body of Mrs. Julia Ann Babb, 75 years old, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Mrs. Babb was a pioneer resident of Joplin, having lived here more than twenty years. She is survived by three sons, David, George and Basil Babb, and two daughters. Mrs. Irena Abney and Mrs. M. A. Gatton. Burial was in Galena cemetery.

Galena, Kan., Oct. 29.—Mrs. Margaret Ann Adams, 91 years old, former long-time Galena resident, died at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home of her son, Lloyd Adams, in Tulsa, where she had made her home the last year.
She had lived in the Galena area most of her life. Her home was on East Seventh street here.
Surviving, besides the son, are 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A hearse of the Poteet funeral home went to Tulsa today and brought the body here. Funeral plans are incomplete.
