Picher, Okla., Nov. 10. — B. G. Babb, 76 years old, a resident of Galena for many years, died at 1:50 o'clock this morning at his home 516 North Frances street.

Babb lived in the district more than 50 years and operated a blacksmith shop at Galena before moving to Picher eight years ago. In recent years he had been a watchman at the Babb machinery plant, established by his son, the late Arthur Babb. He was a member of the A. O. U. W. and I. O. O. F. lodges.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Liddie Babb; a son, George Babb of Joplin; a daughter, Mrs. Flossie Stringer of Joplin; a sister, Mrs. M. A. Gatton of Galena; three stepsons William Van of Commerce, Charles Van of North Miami and Cecil Johnson of Walnut Grove, Calif., and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Maggie Green of Quapaw, Mrs. Grace Shamblin of Commerce and Mrs. Clara Thornburg of Howell, Kan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Durnil funeral home. Burial will be in Galena cemetery. Pallbearers will be Allen Summer, Ben Christy, Gilbert Carrico, Claud Goade, Will Flock and Charles Bentley.

Gatton of Galena; three stepsons, William Van of Commerce, Charles Van of North Miami and Cecil Johnson of Walnut Grove, Calif., and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Maggie Green of Quapaw, Mrs. Grace Shamblin of Commerce and Mrs. Clara Thornburg of Howell, Kan.

Babb operated a blacksmith shop at Galenaa (sic) Kas., for several years before coming to Picher and was night watchman at the Babb machine shop at the time of his death.

Surviving are his wife, Liddie; a son, George, 2114 Kentucky avenue, Joplin; one daughter, Mrs. Flossie Stringer, 2006 Pennsylvania avenue, .Joplin; one sister, Mrs. M. A. Gatton, Galena; three stepsons, William Vann (sic), Commerce, Charles Vann, North Miami; and Cecil Johnson, Walnut Grove, Cal.; and three stepdaughters, Mrs. Maggie Green, Quapaw; Mrs. Grace Shamblin, Commerce, and Mrs. Clara Thornburg, Howell, Kas. He was a member of the A. 0. U. W. and I. 0. 0. F. lodges.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday, afternoon at the Durnil chapel in Picher. Elder Craine will officiate.
