Mrs. Mary Duncan
Mrs. Mary Duncan, who died at Egypt Wednesday night at about 8:30 o'clock was 52 years old having been born in Ontario Canada July 26, 1856, and was a pioneer of this country having lived here practically all her life.
She was married to W. G. Duncan in Ontario Feb. 19, 1878 and together they moved to Lincoln county in 1884 which has been their home since that time, and most of their life has been spent on their place near Egypt.
Mrs. Duncan had been an earnest church worker for the past twenty five years and her death is the result of a sickness lasting about two years during which time she had been a very patient sufferer.
She is survived by her husband, W. G. Duncan the storekeeper at Egypt; three sons, N. W. Duncan, John Duncan and Harry Duncan all of whom reside at Egypt; five daughters; Maggie Lemon of Egypt, Ethel Ryan of Cheney, Sadie, Regina and Katie Duncan of Egypt.
The funeral will be held at Egypt Friday at 1 o'clock interment being made in Frans Cemetery. Rev. F. B. Teter of Davenport conducting the service.
