Wife of Earl,owner of Anderson grocery at Pine Knot.∼Mrs. Pearl Anderson, age 79, of Pine Knot, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2005, at the Scott County Hospital in Oneida, Tennessee. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 7, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Pine Knot Funeral Home with Reverends William Kilby, Tim Stephens, and Chester Morgan officiating. She was laid to rest in the T. Chitwood Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was born at Pine Knot, Kentucky, on January 27,1926, to the late Francis A. and Lula Gilreath Creekmore. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Anderson whom she married on August 28, 1948. Earl passed away on April 19, 2003. Pearl was the beloved mother of a daughter, Janice Scates (her husband John) of Oneida, Tennessee, and a son, Conny Anderson of Pine Knot. Her sisters are Nadine Heth, Norma Lawson and Ittylene Trammell all of Pine Knot and a brother Bob Creekmore of Belton, South Carolina. Earl and Pearl Anderson owned the Anderson’s Grocery in Pine Knot where Pearl worked for 30 years. She was a member of the Hayes Creek Church of God where she enjoyed singing in the choir and fellowship- ping with her many wonderful friends. Family was important to Pearl and she delighted in making her home a haven for them. She took great pleasure in keeping her house and being a devoted wife and loving mother. She liked to spend time planting flowers and watching her garden grow. Pearl was a quite person and found consolation in her ’ home life and time spent with her sisters. Pine Knot Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
