Ittylene Trammell, age 86 years, 1 month and 12 days, passed away peacefully at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky on Thursday, November 2, 2107, with her family at her side.

She was born Monday, September 21, 1931 in Creekmore, Kentucky to Frances Creekmore and Lula( Gilreath) Creekmore. Ittylene grew up helping in her family’s general store and post office. An accomplished pianist, she learned to play the piano at an early age and enjoyed singing in church and at home with her family. She served as church pianist at the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God for many years. Ittylene enjoyed making pottery and ceramics, gardening, crocheting, cooking and fishing. She also enjoyed hosting her famous 4th of July gathering of family friends, taking great pleasure in the music, food, and fellowship.

Ittylene was married to Cecil Trammell, on September 30, 1950 in Williamsburg. She and Cecil were blessed with six children. A Proverbs 31 woman, Ittylene took pride in caring for her husband and family, and everyone else she could. Her church and family were the most important things in her life.

Ittylene is survived by four sons, Roger Trammell, Bruce Trammell, Tony Trammell and his wife, Donna, Jerry Trammell and his wife, Kim, all of Pine Knot, two daughters, Charlotte Griffin and her husband, Ron, of Crossville, Tennessee and Cynthia Lynette Trammell of Somerset, one sister, Nadine Heth, of Pine Knot, a brother, Bob Creekmore and his wife, Jackie, of Pelzer, South Carolina , nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Ittylene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Norma Lawson and Pearl Anderson, and a daughter-in-law, Sandy Trammell.

Ittylene will be remembered as a kind, loving, Christian wife, mother and friend. We are comforted by how she lived out her faith and the certainty that she is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
