DR. HARRY H. VAN EATON
Dr. Harry H. VanEaton, 82, of NE Baker, East Wenatchee, long-time dentist in this area, died in a local hospital Monday morning.
He was born in South Dakota April 1, 1885, and later came to Washington. He was graduated from high school in Tacoma. He was a graduate of the Northwest Dental College, Portland, Ore., and practiced dentistry in Wenatchee for the past forty-five years.
On Dec. 24, 1924, he married Paula A. Traub, in Wenatchee.
He will be remembered throughout the many towns in the area as an outstanding baseball pitcher in the early 1900's. During World War II, he served as examining dentist for the Selective Service System at Camp Murray from 1941 to 1947.
Dr. VanEaton was a member of the North Central District Dental Society, Yakima Consistory A & A, Scottish Rite, Afifi Lodge, Tacoma, the Wenatchee Valley Shrine Club.
Surviving are: his widow; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Forrest (Ann) Traub, East Wenatchee; one brother Dr. Benjamin VanEaton, Yakima; two sisters, Dr. Claire VanEaton and Mrs. Benjamin Nutley, both of Yakima; two grandchildren, Larry Traub, Portland, and Mrs. Raymond (Gail Traub) Chapman, Seattle; and one great-grandchild. One son, Guy A. VanEaton, preceded him in death.
Services are announced by Jones & Jones Funeral Home.

DR. HARRY VanEATON -- Services will be conducted in the Colonial Chapel of the Jones & Jones Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. Riverside Lodge No. 112, F. & A.M., will officiate. Concluding services and entombment will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum. Jones & Jones is in charge of arrangements.
