Mrs. Harriet C. Eslick, 69, of Boise, Idaho, was instantly killed Oct. 27 when struck by an automobile. She was the mother of Clarence E. Eslick of Colville and Milton E. Eslick of Cedonia. She also leaves three daughters and two other sons. She had lived at Boise for the past six months.

The Eslick family were former residents of this vicinity, owning a home on what is known as Saints Flat, east of Daisy. Children surviving the mother are Mrs. Sylvia Weston, Post Falls, Idaho; Miss Helen Eslick, Portland, Ore.; four sons, A. E. of Spokane; C. E. of Colville; M. E. of Cedonia and H. E. of Boise, Idaho.

Daisy News. Mrs. Harriet C. Eslick, a former resident of this vicinity and widow of the late Uriah Eslick, was instantly killed when struck by an automobile on Sunday morning at Boise, Idaho. The Eslicks owned a small tract of land on Saints flat and lived in this section for a number of years.

Boise Woman Killed By Car
Mrs. Harriett Eslick Killed Instantly When Struck by Auto on Broadway.
Mrs. Harriett C. Eslick, 69, 602 Washington street, was killed instantly Sunday evening in South Boise, when she was struck by a car which investigating officers said was driven by Jack Reimer, 821 Jefferson street.
Coroner J. T. McCann said Mrs. Eslick had gone to South Boise by bus to attend services at the Church of God. Learning that there was no service, she apparently was returning home when the accident occurred.
"Did Not See Her"
Mrs. Eslick was struck at Broadway and Dundee streets. Coroner McCann quoted Reimer as saying he did not see the aged woman until the car struck her. McCann said the accident occurred apparently as she attempted to cross to the east side of the street to wait for a bus.
The coroner said Reimer was returning from Twin Falls and that Jacob Ullman, 216 West Jefferson street, was a passenger in the car at the time. Reimer was quoted as saying that he was not driving faster than 30 miles an hour at the time of the accident.
Came From Spokane
Mrs. Eslick had come to Boise six months ago from Spokane. Surviving are four sons, A. E. Eslick of Spokane, Milton E. Eslick of Cedonia, Wash., Clarence Eslick of Colville, Wash., and Harry Eslick of Boise; three daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Watson of Post Falls, Miss Helen Eslick of Portland, and Mrs. Darrel Weston of Boise. Two brothers and three sisters also survive.
The body is at the Schreiber & McCann chapel and funeral services are pending.

Jurors to Study Fatal Accident In South Boise.
The death of Mrs. Harriet Eslick, 69, in an automobile accident Sunday evening will be investigated Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock by a coroner's jury at the Schreiber and McCann undertaking office.
Mrs. Eslick was killed when struck by a car officers said was driven by Jack Reimer, 821 Jefferson street. She was walking across Broadway boulevard at Dundee street in South Boise.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eslick will be conducted at the Schreiber and McCann chapel Thursday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Benjamin J. Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Morris Hill cemetery.
