Hester Weston, 87, of Boise, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 1996.
Hester was born in Stevens County, Wash., the daughter of Uriah and Harriet Bryant Eslick. She grew up in Daisy, Wash., the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Montesano High School and attended Washington State College at Pullman.
On Jan. 4, 1931, she married Darrell Martin Weston at Vale, Ore., and they spent most of their married life in Boise. The recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Hester was active in University Christian Church, and had served as president of the christian Women's Fellowship. She was also had been a member of the Owyhee Toastmistress Club, and worked, for a time, as a legal secretary. Hester and Darrell owned and operated Weston's Junior Boot Shop in Boise for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Darrell; sons, Loren of Smiths Ferry, and Gerald and his wife, Coralie of Caldwell; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Mack Weston; a grandson, Mark Weston; and her brothers and sisters.
Family graveside services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 28, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at University Christian Church, 1801 University Drive, Boise. Arrangements are by the Cloverdale Funeral Home.
