Mary Lucele Martin Carter was born July 20, 1918 in Marion, Kentucky to James Edward Martin and Annie Lee Horning.
She married James Alley Carter on January 13, 1932 in Elizabethtown, Illinois.
She worked as a beautician for thirty-two years and enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and keeping up her home.
She is survived by her niece; Leota Kelly and Leota's children; Peggy Davis, Sandra Band, and Wayne Sidio, sister-in-law; Anzella (Susie) Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband, children; James and Shirley, parents, brothers, and sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Salt Lake Olympus Stake Center (2675 East 4430 South).
Interment will be in the Holladay Memorial Park (4900 South Memory Lane) Holladay, Utah.
