Native of Twiggs County Dies in Local Hospital
Funeral services for Mrs. G. B. Blount of 826 Main Street, whose death occured in a local hospital at 3:15AM yesterday after an illness of 10 days, will be held in the Prospect Church in Twiggs County at 11:30AM today. The Rev. H. F. Langiots will officiate with interment in the Prospect Cemetery.
Pallbearers are to be Homer L. Chance, Ben Hill Newby, George Leslie, Dock Holliday, William Faulk, and G. T. Sanders.
Mrs. Blount, the former Miss Mattie Elizabeth Sauls, was born in Twiggs County on October 23, 1869, the daughter of Orf Sauls and Mrs. Martha J. Floyd Sauls. She had made her home in Macon for 15 years. She was a member of the Prospect Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Blount are three daughters, Mrs. J. D. Ives of Jeffersonville and Misses Bessie and Irene Blount of Macon; two sons, G. W. Blount of Macon and E. G. Blount of Jeffersonville; two sisters, Mrs. J. T. Holliday of Jeffersonville and Mrs. H. J. Chance of Danville; and one brother, T. D. Sauls of Tarversville.
