Mrs. Belle Shope, 73, wife of W. J. Shope of Lockesburg died February 24, 1942 at 7 p.m. at her home after a five months illness.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 at the Belleville church with the Rev. A. C. Rogers officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Lockesburg under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
She was born September 24, 1868 at Bonham, Texas and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, five sons, Julius Shope, Lockesburg, M. Shope, Grand Prairie, Texas [correction, Grand Shope, Kansas City, Missouri], M. Shope, Brand Prairie, Texas [correction, Henderson M. Shope, ______?], Wayne Shope, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Aubrey Shope, Ft. Smith; two brothers, Martin Cashion, Texarkana and Robert Cashion, Little Rock; four grandchildren.
