MARIETTA, Ga. - Mrs. Mildred R. Martin, 82, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of Franklin, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 1998.

Mrs. Martin was a graduate of North Carolina Women's College and she taught at Fines Creek High School and Franklin High School for 33 years. She was a member of Kappa Gamma and B.P.W. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church In Franklin.

She is survived by her husband, J. Frank Martin of Marietta, Ga.; sons, Joseph Frank Martin of Chandler, Ariz., and James T. Martin of Marietta, Ga.; grandchldren, Jimmy, Courtney and Lindsay Martin, all of Marietta, Ga.; and sisters, Dorothy Greerleaf of Waynesvllle and Ruth Magher of Spartanburg, S.C.

A memorial service and graveside service win be announced at a later date. The family requests that In lieu of flowers, memorials be made to University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

Arrangementa are by Cremation Society of the South.
