Doug was the son of Thomas Osborn Bell and Josephine Walston Bell. His parents are buried in Bell Cemetery. He shares a stone with his wife, Adell Bush, who he married 28 July 1930. He was a retired service station operator and salesman. He was residing in Palestine, TX at the time of his death in a local hospital. He was survived by his wife, one brother, Lymon G. Bell of Palestine; three sisters, Lonie Bell Miller and Pauline Inez Bell Rawls of Palestine and Norma Bell Moore of Oakwood.
