SERENA - Mrs. George (Kate) Bernard, 84, of rural Serena died Tuesday morning at her home following an illness of several months.
...at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Serena Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Ash officiating.
Burial will be in Elerding Cemetery. Friends may call at the Larson-Gabel Funeral Home in Sheridan from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Mrs. Bernard was born in Serena March 26, 1887, to Henry and Louise Stauffer Grandgeorge. Mrs. Bernard was a charter member of the S.I.C. and a member of the Serena Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son Bryan Bernard of LaPorte, Ind., and a brother Edward J. Grandgeorge of Serena. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and a brother.
