WINFORD CAMPBELL
Win Campbell, lifelong resident of Lucas county, departed this life at the home of his sister, Mrs. Geo. Bonnett, near Chariton, on Nov. 5, 1935, at the age of 59 years, 6 months and 1 day, after a week's illness with paralysis.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. O. O. Hobson, of the United Brethren church, were held Thursday afternoon at four o'clock, at the Beardsley Funeral Home, and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
Winford Campbell, son of Thomas and Hannah Jane Campbell, was born near Chariton, Iowa, on May 4, 1877, and his entire life was spent in and near Chariton. He was united in marriage to Miss Alice Ambelang on Oct. 25, 1916, who is left to mourn her loss.
He was preceded in death by his father and two sisters, Lelia and Nellie.
Besides his wife he is survived by his aged mother, Mrs. Hannah Campbell, of Lacona; four brothers, William S. Campbell, of Los Angeles, Calif., who was his twin brother; Bert R. Campbell, of Long Beach, Calif.; Robert J. Campbell and T. Bruce Campbell, both of near Chariton; and two sisters, Mrs. George Bonnett, of Chariton and Mrs. D. M. Cornell, of Lacona.
For many years Mr. Campbell had been a member of the Otterbein United Brethren church. He was a good citizen and was highly esteemed by all who knew him.
