Frances Trecia was one of the older of a family of eleven children of Henry J. and Margaret Elizabeth Hamner was born in Ottawa, Kans., Jan 21, 1862, passed away June 29, 1933 at her home in Atlas, aged 71 years, 5 months and 27 days. She was married to George Daniels, January 6, 1881 at New Canton, Ill. Eleven children came into this home, six of whom have preceded her in death. She is survived by the aged companion, 5 children, will of Pittsfield; Mrs. Alta Brown of Tulare, Cal.; Mrs. Ethel Helkey, Hannibal, Mo.; Mrs. Nora Ogle of Independence and Harvey of Atlas, also 1 stepson, Frank of Pleasant Hill. There are 25 grandchildren, 6 of whom were in California, 7 great-grandchildren and one brother Joshua Hamner of Nebo.
Many years ago she confessed her savior, uniting with the Atlas Christian church. She had spent the greater part of her married life in and near the village of Atlas where she was much loved and will be greatly missed. She was of a kind and gentle disposition and a mother to many who were left motherless. The companion, children and brother were all at her bedside when she was called home. Funeral services were held from Atlas church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Milo Galloway of Pleasant Hill officiating. Mrs. Emma Lowery and Mrs. Mertie Rupert sang with Mrs. Zelma Hillman at the piano. Flower girls were Sarah Wombles, Fern Smith, Helen Guthrie and Dora Lee Wombles. Funeral director Charles Lowery conducted burial at Wells cemetery. Pall bearers were Leonard Holcomb, Will Browning, Milo and orville Forgey, Lee Wombles, W. H. Hillman.
